With Express Courier International and Express Post International (parcels), you may purchase insurance cover up to $5000 to all destinations.
With Airmail and Seamail Parcels, insurance cover of up to $5000 is generally available, although some countries have a limit lower than $5000. Some items, however, cannot be insured.
Other services do not have insurance cover available as an optional extra.

A claim form must be completed within 6 months of the lodgement date of the article, or 30 days in the case of an Express Courier International or Express Post International (Parcels) article. Australia Post may require support for the information in the claim form with a statutory declaration and proof of identity.
