Check destination country information

Each country sets regulations about what will and will not be accepted into that country.

Country specific regulations dictate:

Weight limits

Most countries accept mail up to 20kg but there are a few exceptions. For example, Tunisia will only accept Express Courier International parcels up to 15kg but accepts Air Mail up to 20kg,and will accept Sea Mail Parcels up to 20 kg. Iran accepts Express Courier International and Airmail to 10kg only.

Prohibited or restricted items

For example, you can not send greeting cards with musical chimes to Qatar, or send sewing machines to Sudan, and Peru will not accept novels featuring violence. Algeria will not accept baby feeders which are not made of pure rubber, and has restrictions on measuring instruments, whilst Colombia will not accept cork.

Value of articles accepted or refused

For example, Cyprus will not accept any valuable items, Japan will accept valuable items but only if they are insured, Jamaica accepts them if insured but not using the Express Courier International service.

Insurance limits

For example, Insurance is not available to Iran, unless using the Express Courier International service. You can insure parcels to Puerto Rico, but not letters. You can insure Air Mail letters to Germany, but not parcels. In Sweden, Air Mail letters and parcels can both be insured to up to $2,351, and in Kuwait, Air Mail letters can be insured to $3353 and parcels to $3000.

Mail services 

For example, Nepal does not accept Express Courier International articles or Sea Mail, Mexico has a limited Express Courier International service, and Vietnam does not accommodate sea mail.
