Australia Post is today kicking off the 2007 Telstra Premiership season by giving all Rugby League fans an opportunity to grab their team’s 2007 Official NRL Stamp Pack featuring a first-ever unique collectable medallion!
Player lists and team records are included in the packs along with the 2007 season fixtures. This year however there’s also something a little different for all supporters to cheer about; the collectable medallion.
The cupro-nickel medallion is 30mm in diameter, displaying the Club logo on the front side and the NRL logo on the reverse. The inclusion of the collectable medallion is a first for Australia Post and provides supporters with a truly unique keepsake of their team in 2007.
All 16 of the team booklets feature a sheetlet of 10 x 50c stamps with the Club’s logo attached to the tabs. Also incorporated in the stamp pack are the team’s Club records including important and interesting facts and figures, as well as the complete player list.
The glossy front cover features the team colours and an action shot of members of the team featured in that specific stamp pack. The background has a grassy look, which generates the feeling that you are looking at the field on which the players stand.
“The 2007 NRL Season Stamp Packs are a unique way for all League fans to show their support of their team,” says Noel Leahy, Group Manager Philatelic, Australia Post. “With the focus on each Club’s records and the inclusion of the collectable medallion, we think they are a fantastic way to kick off another great season of Rugby League.”
All 16 stamp packs are available for $11.95 from participating Australia Post outlets or via mail order on 1800 331 794. Overseas customers can purchase on line at www.auspost.com.au/stamps
