Product Features

Express Post Platinum is a premium delivery service that gives you:

• Guaranteed delivery by 12.00 midday next business day to business addresses within the published network and by 5.00pm to other addresses within the published network, provided the satchel is correctly posted on a business day Monday to Friday.
  
• Delivery by courier to the addressee’s door
  
• Signature on delivery, the courier must obtain a signature as proof of delivery before completing delivery.
  
• Track and trace helps you find out if an Express Post Platinum satchel has been delivered.
  
• Proof of posting. If posted at a post office counter the tear off receipt flap on the satchel will be date stamped by the counter officer and given to you as a record of posting.
  

Express Post Platinum can be posted in Express Post GOLD boxes, as well as over the counter at retail outlets within the published network.

How do I use Express Post Platinum?

It’s easy:

• Buy an Express Post Platinum satchel from a post office.
• Address the satchel (don’t forget to complete your "senders details" on the back).
• Sign the "No Dangerous Goods " declaration under the address
• Post in an Express Post GOLD posting box by 6.00pm (earlier in Perth suburbs and some provincial centres), or,
• If you require proof of posting, post over the counter of a post office within the Express Post Platinum network by that offices Express Post mail closing time.

Note: Do not post Express Post Platinum in a red posting box, as this will void the guarantee and delay delivery.

Pre-Paid Satchel

You have a choice of two pre-paid satchels:

• up to 500 grams in weight - $12.20 each
• up to 3 kilograms in weight - $16.30 each

Discounts are available for bulk purchases in ten packs:

• 5% discount for purchases of from 1 to 9 ten packs
• 10% discount for purchases of 10 or more ten packs

Delivery by 12.00 midday next business day to businesses addresses and home delivery by 5.00pm next business day is guaranteed over the routes specified in the published service network, provided the satchel is correctly posted on a business day Monday to Friday. If we do not deliver as promised, the sender will receive another Express Post Platinum satchel of the same type free.

The Overnight Network

The guaranteed* Express Post Platinum "overnight to business addresses" network operates between all capital cities (except Darwin and some outer metropolitan areas) and a number of provincial centres. For details, go to Express Post Platinum-networks.

Beyond these networks the fastest possible delivery, using normal Australia Post operations, is provided on a non-guaranteed basis.

Dangerous Goods

Dangerous goods classified by CASA cannot be carried by air; therefore, they cannot be sent by Express Post Platinum. Dangerous goods include:

• explosives
• flammable materials
• radioactive materials
• aerosols

If the "No Dangerous Goods" declaration on the front of all Express Post Platinum satchels is NOT signed then that satchel cannot go by air and may be returned to you for your signature.

Satchels Addressed to PO Boxes

As Express Post Platinum is delivered by courier, satchels addressed to a PO Box may not be delivered until after the normal PO Box delivery time.

Valuable Items

Express Post Platinum is not intended for the carriage of cash, gold, jewellery, precious stones, negotiable securities or other valuables. If you wish to post valuables, please refer to Registered Post.
