Guidelines

 

The first release of the Barcode Quality Program (BQP) Guidelines covers objectives, policies and procedures of the BQP.

 

The guidelines consist of three major sections:

  • BQP and FuturePost overview
  • Statement of capability testing procedures
  • Barcode generation and print rules.

 

These guidelines should be read in conjunction with the following documents published by Australia Post:

  • Customer Barcoding Technical Specifications, June 1998;
  • A Guide To Printing the 4-State Barcode, June 1998.

 

Please note that, to assist the reader, a glossary of terms is also provided as an appendix to these guidelines.

Registration

 

To register with the BQP, you simply need to fill out a registration form. This form requests company and product details, which are are documented by Australia Post as part of the BQP quality management procedures.

 

Please note that on the back of your registration form there are Terms & Conditions for the Australia Post Barcode Quality Program. Please take the time to consider them carefully.

Please note that by lodging the BQP registration form, the BQP participant accepts the terms and conditions of the program as advised on the reverse side of the form.

 

Where do I send the Registration Form?

 

When you have accepted the BQP Terms & Conditions, and you have read it in its entirety, please sign the BQP registration form and send it to:
